The FinOps principles are the guide for activities in the advisory journey. The goal of this work package is to enable base elements of the FinOps framework to create direct value and enable cost management – the implementation of the complete FinOps framework is not in scope of this consultancy. An overview of the FinOps principles: teams need to collaborate, everyone takes ownership for their cloud usage, a centralized team drives cloud cost management, reports should be accessible and timely, decisions are driven by business value of cloud, take advantage of the variable cost model of the cloud.
