Desktop Virtualization without Complexity

Azure virtual desktop services is a VDI solution where the infrastructure complexity is removed by simply using this as a cloud service. At the core, virtual machines are provisioned with the virtual desktop functionality enabled and all are managed by the cloud service delivered from Microsoft Azure. The “image” used in this service is completely customizable based on the customer needs and applications that need to be published.

The program is assisting customers to tackle all configurations that result in a stable, optimized and secure virtual desktop environment. It all starts with the definition of the landing zone to host the Azure virtual desktop environment. The virtual desktop services infrastructure is a configuration how the service is defined in Azure, hosted in the customer landing zone. Automation is key for this service to enable “wipe & load” for update operations, automated extension of the capacity or quick restores in disaster recovery scenarios.

The virtual desktop user experience is a definition that is in the hands of the customer. Company policies, application groups or configurations is configuration that needs to be applied on the images used for this Azure service. The program is including assistance time for this workload, but the image creation itself is done by the customer.

Like for all cloud integrations, a workshop approach is defined in the program to collaborate with the customer. Training, design choices and configuration is aligned during these workshop as input for the most optimal implementation of the service for the customer.
